What is Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan?
Launched in December 2015, the Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan seeks to eliminate barriers that hinder the participation of persons with disabilities in various aspects of life. The campaign targets three key areas:

Ensuring public buildings, transport systems, and other infrastructure are accessible to people with disabilities. - Digital Accessibility
Enhancing the accessibility of government websites and digital platforms to comply with global standards. - Sensitization and Awareness

Major Achievements in 9 Years
Over the past nine years, the Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan has made remarkable progress:

Thousands of government buildings, railway stations, and airports have been retrofitted with ramps, elevators, and other facilities to accommodate persons with disabilities. - Accessible Transport Systems
