This visit held special importance as the year marks the 200th birth anniversary (Jayanti) of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of Arya Samaj. PM Modi highlighted how Swami Dayanand Saraswati’s teachings remain relevant even today, inspiring millions across the globe to lead lives rooted in truth, morality, and social reform.
The Arya Samaj monument in Georgetown stands as a symbol of resilience and cultural pride for the Indian community in Guyana.
